Father Kills Five Children and Four Neighbors in Surinamese Knife Attack

A horrific knife attack in the small South American nation of Suriname has left nine people dead, including five children, in what authorities describe as a rampage that claimed the lives of the attacker’s own children and neighbors who attempted to intervene.

Writing in Dutch, the nation’s official language, she extended her condolences to the bereaved families. “I wish all the bereaved much strength, resilience, and comfort in this unimaginably difficult time,” the president stated.
